Balfour Elementary School is Asheboro City Schools’ newest elementary school, serving approximately 570 students! Balfour classrooms are equipped with SmartBoards technology, laptop computer carts for fourth and fifth grade classrooms, a computer lab, a media center with both print and digital resources. Balfour is also home to Asheboro City Schools innovative Dual Language Immersion program, allowing students to read and write in English and Spanish.

Congratulations to our Beaming Bulldogs for the month of December!!!  They had s'mores to celebrate!

We look forward to seeing many of you at the State of Schools on January 30th!

This Friday, January 26th is Spirit Day!  Each grade level is encouraged to wear a  certain color.  Here is the list:  

K-Orange

1-Yellow

2-Purple

3-Blue

4-Red

5-Green We look forward to seeing everyone on February 15th for our AFTT night to learn about ways to help with literacy at home! CONGRATULATION to Azalias Diaz and Kamryn Yow! Azalias was the winner of the Spelling Bee for the second year in a row and Kamryn Yow, a third grader, was the runner up this year!!
